CIA’s director promised that agency is soon going to launch their Instagram account

Gina Haspel, the CIA Director during her address at the Auburn University located in Alabama presented the information that the agency is soon going to launch their Instagram account.

The agency’s plan to launch the Instagram apogee was clued by Haspel as she was addressing the fact of social media’s new recruitments along with the CIA’s transparency for an agency that is devoted for secret communication for its work with the public.

Haspel stated, “Just to talk a moment about transparency, of course, CIA does have a Twitter account. Our office of public affairs is getting ready to launch our Instagram account.”

Haspel also stated that some people in the agency are not happy with their attempt to launch a social media page because of all the secret work that the company does.

Haspel said, “We try and be as open as we can, and to protect the secrets that we must protect.”

CIA is also not the only company with their social media accounts. FBI and NSA also have their own Twitter accounts with the FBI also having its own Instagram account.

As for the current CIA’s Instagram page, it is sort of a placeholder page which is filled with a random code.

Haspel, during her earlier remarks, stated, “One of the most unique challenges we face at this point in history is the rate of technological change. We’re endeavoring at CIA, and the other U.S. intelligence agencies, to stay abreast of those changes, and to remain on the cutting edge.”
