Gmail’s cluttered design can now be fixed with 1 simple Chrome extension

If you are getting annoyed out of Gmail’s cluttered new design, then you are not the only one. Even the lead designer of Gmail named Michael Leggett who worked on the design from the year 2008 to 2012, also claims that he is also bugged out by this new cluttered design. He also told tech media that he has developed a simple Google Chrome extension to deal with this problem.

Leggett has created a Chrome extension by the name “Simplify Gmail” which is a free extension for anyone to use.  This extension works by removing all the icons located on the right and left sides of the home screen. With this extension every chat folder, add-on and starred e-mail is erased for now. Even the Gmail logo present on the top of the screen gets removed. With all of these cluttered folders and logs gone, the user is left with a nice clean and clear view primary inbox.

Well, this extension and its working are not for every Gmail user but those who like to work with a clean workspace, they find it extremely helpful and love it. For anyone, who has to get through huge piles of emails in their Gmail account, this easy to use extension is highly recommended.

Leggett has been working with Google for a long time to make the need for email for people more simplified over the years. He also revealed that Google was insistent on adding new features to their Gmail which led to them starting and creating a project called Inbox, which he also led at Google.

Unfortunately, the much-loved Inbox app was killed by Google earlier this year. Soon after Google killed off Inbox, Leggett decided to release his extension to the public for open use. So if anyone of you out there have trouble with Gmail’s new features and loved the work of the previous designer, then fix your email related problems with this simple Chrome extension.
