Nvidia unveils its new line of GeForce RTX graphics cards called ‘Super’

The gaming-focused chipmaker has announced the new graphics cards for its Nvidia RTX graphic cards line by the name ‘Super’.

According to recent rumors that have been coming for over a week, the Nvidia will launch the desktop cards such as 2060, 2070 and 2080 in the Super version. These cards will have an improvement in speed but will come at the same price as are the current RTX cards.

According to the news from Nvidia, these new Super RTX cards will have a speed improvement of nearly 15 percent when compared to their non-Super versions.

In addition to improved speed, customers will be receiving an 8GB of memory for their 2060 Super card instead of the 6GB while the memory speed for the 2080 RTX Super card will be about 15.5 Gbps instead of the previous 14 Gbps.

As Nvidia plans to keep the prices same for the 2070 and the 2080 Super cards, it will be 499 dollars and 699 dollars respectively/. Only the 2060 RTX Super will see an increase of 50 dollars in its price and will be available for a price of 399 dollars.

As for the launch dates of these cards, it is as follows.

  • 2060 and 2070 launching on 9th of July
  • 2080 launching on 23rd of July

In addition to all this, Nvidia is also taking this opportunity to gift its customers of Super RTX cards with 2 free games that will be the following when they launch sometime this summer.
