Skype screen-sharing feature to soon come on iOS and Android

One of the most useful features of Skype is the screen-sharing which is soon going to be available on both iOS and Android.

Screen-sharing is the feature of Skype which allows multiple users to look at the screen of the other user for collaborating without the need of being present in the same room as another user. Skype is now testing this amazing feature for the mobile release as well.

According to a blog post by Microsoft, that the users of the Skype Insider preview program will be able to make use of this new feature from the Thursday of coming week.

According to Microsoft’s blog post, the feature sounds easy. You just have to tap of the icon located on the bottom left corner of the screen in between the call and viola “Screen Share”.

One thing to note here is that this feature will not be available for the preview program of Skype iOS just yet. However, Microsoft still admitted to the fact that Apple’s iOS will soon be able to support the Screen-sharing feature. So, in the end, it is only a matter of a short time.

The potential benefits of the mobile screen sharing on Skype will be extremely useful.  It will allow two users to do a collaboration on a project, plan their holidays or consult with each other on the dating apps along with all sorts of other useful things.

Still, to make things clear, this feared is already present in Skype’s desktop version and has been there for many years now. Still, this is a great step forward from Skype. This is not a common feature in all other social media apps and websites. Sites and their apps like Facebook Messenger and Snapchat are still devoid of this feature.

While there are other apps that allow users to have screen sharing but once Skype is in the business, it will surely undercut those smaller apps.
