This year, extreme weathers across the globe are becoming more and more common. Earlier there was a recent heat wave in Australia while on the other end of the spectrum, there is a “Polar Vortex” happening in the Midwestern US.
The ‘Polar Vortex’ is a band of strong winds that are high up in the atmosphere that keep the cold air of Arctic locked in the region. Sometimes it drifts to the south and this year it has enveloped North America.
