Smartphones are going to get a lot more interesting next week

Around this time next week, the market is going to be swarmed with a lot of new Android Smartphones to choose from. The amazing thing is that these Smartphones are not going to be like the run of the mil Smartphones that you have been seeing for a long time now.

We are talking about the “Mobile World Congress” that is going to happen on February 25th in Barcelona. This is the event, where Smartphone manufacturers are going to show off their new wares.

While in the past these events and the smartphones that were presented were all a little habitual but this year’s event is already filled with an air of certainty and excitement. The reason for this sudden excitement is because the global smartphone creators have not sent shipments for four straight quarters and this is going to be the first time in a long time when the smartphone manufacturers are going to present something entirely new and unique.

Samsung and Huawei Strong participants of the event:-

This year it is not going to be like Apple’s iPhone of 2017 which presented and dominated the trend of “Screen notch”. This year Samsung and Huawei are the main participants of the event as they will announce their new foldable phones. This new feature is also going to present the way for the “Hole Punch Screen” for mobile devices in near future.

There are also going to be many other surprising tech marvels which will be seen at this tech event like the following.

Samsung:-

The first main participant of the event is going to be the Korean smartphones giant; Samsung. Just four days before the event starts off, Samsung is going to show its three new following smartphones on February 24th.

  • Galaxy S10e

  • Galaxy S10+

These phones are equipped with following main features that were never present in any of Samsung’s smartphones before.

  • Hole Punch Screen
  • Lots of Cameras

However, what we do not know at this time is about Samsung’s foldable smartphones which are most likely to make their appearance at this event. While there is speculation that phone’s production might not be finished, Samsung officials claim that these smartphones will be launched in the mid of 2019.

Huawei:-

Next up is Huawei which is going to feature its own foldable smartphones which will also be the first of Huawei’s 5G phones. While there is not much to be made known at this moment about Huawei’s new smartphones and their entire features, Huawei itself has a certain expertise in the field of 5G.

Huawei might not be great at producing innovative products but they are good at one thing and that is to make any technology better which results in some of the best phones ever made. Like everyone else, we are also going to see the new smartphones from Huawei when it will release them on February 24th.

LG:-

Like Huawei and Samsung, LG is also set for launching its new smartphones model on February 24th. This new flagship model is the LG G8 ThinQ. Although the G8 looks like any other ordinary smartphone, LG claims that the smartphone is equipped with many new features. One of the main new features of this smartphone is the OLED Screen that will work as an audio amplifier. According to LG, this feature alone will produce more and better sound quality than ever before.

The company also has plans of launching a new 5G phone that will present a vapor chamber cooling system and they might also launch a foldable phone as well.

Xiaomi:-

We cannot also exempt Xiaomi from our list as it is one of the fastest growing mobile manufacturers in the world. The company has teased its users with the news of introducing a new double folding phone/tablet hybrid which is going to hit the markets very soon.

Oppo:-

Oppo, a smartphone manufacturing company from China which has made its firm market in the most of Asian countries all thanks to its low budget smartphones with some of the great features is also planning to take part in the new feature race.  Oppo has announced that they will also most likely announce their own foldable phone along with improved camera focus. Oppo claims that their camera zoom for Smartphone will be now 10*.

HTC:-

HTC plans to launch the world’s very first Blockchain friendly smartphone named as “Exodus I”. The phone will have many features with the primary task of keeping a person’s cryptocurrencies safe. In addition to Exodus I, HTC will also be presenting its 5G and VR innovations as well.

Nokia:-

Nokia is now not the powerhouse as it was once used to be. However this year, a rumor has been circling for a smartphone from Nokia that will feature ‘5 Rear Cameras’. This alleged phone which is also allegedly named as Nokia 9 PureView is rumored to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress this year. If it happens, it is going to be in a long time that Nokia is presenting something innovative.

As for Vivo, they are going to introduce a new version of the Apex concept; a smartphone which is all-screen on the front.

Sony:-

Sony which has been struggling to sell smartphones for a long time is going to make some new strides this year. They are planning to unveil their new smartphone named “Xperia XZ4” which will feature a triple camera on its back.

Other companies:-

Other small companies like OnePlus, Meizu and ZTE will also be making their presence in the Mobile World Congress event, so be ready to be surprised with some new innovations from these companies this year. The Energizer is also planning to launch its 26 new smartphones at the Mobile World Congress event. One of them is going to feature a dual selfie pop up camera.

For those who are looking for TLDR of the Mobile World Congress event, there is not one. The phone launches this year are going to be diverse as every manufacturer is going to showcase its own things like foldable phones, all-screen phones, 5G phones, Blockchain phones or crazy-camera phones. While not all of these ideas are going to stick, they are all going to make one hell of an exciting year for the smartphones industry and the billions of smartphone users across the world.
