Apple launching the new iPod touch equipped with 256GB storage and an A10 chip

Apple is yet to forget completely about is iPod touch.

Earlier this week on Tuesday, Apple announced newer version of the Apple iPod Touch that is equipped with an A10 Fusion Chip on its board along with the support of AR (Augmented Reality) and the Group Facetime.

These are the first major changes that Apple has given to its iPod Touch since July of 2015.

Another major change that Apple iPod Touch saw was the increase in storage capacity to 256GB. This is good news for those music lovers who have particularly large music collections.

Design features:-

As for the design of the device, it remains to be unchanged from its predecessor models which mean that it is still equipped with a Home Button, bezels and everything else. As for other specs of the new device, they are as follows.

  • 4-inch Retina Display
  • 8 MP Rear camera
  • 2 MP Front Camera

Major gaming supports:-

It is to be noted here that the Apple iPod touch will now have Apple game support for game subscription service like the “Apple Arcade” the Apple Arcade is due to launch in the coming fall.

Prices:-

The prices of the new iPod Touch varies on their storage capacities which are as follows.

  • For the 32 GB variant, price is 199 dollars
  • For the 128 GB variant, price is 299 dollars (no 64 GB variant is available)
  • For the 256 GB variant, price is 399 dollars

As for color scheme, the device is available in the following color choices.

  • Spacey Gray
  • Gold
  • Silver
  • Pink
  • Blue
  • Red

At the moment the new Apple iPod Touch is only available for purchase from Apple.com as well as on the Apple Store app of the selected few countries.
