Facebook’s redesigning of the app and website is all about groups and IRL connections

Facebook lately has announced the news about redesigning their app as well as their website. This redesigning is focused on groups. Facebook unveiled a version of their redesigned app and the website for promotional purposes which shows the groups crammed up in as many places as possible.

As for the redesigned version of this app, it has already been rolled out for users but the desktop version will be available sometime later this year.

Changes in the design:-

There is no single change that has been made, instead, the whole of the app and website has been changed.

First, up the familiar Blue Bar located at the top of the page is gone and is replaced with a simple but bright logo of Facebook.

Second is the navigational icons which have been moved from the side to the top of the app. As for Stories Icons, they have been made much larger than before with the Status Box being less prominent and smaller in size.

Other Changes:-

In addition to this overall display redesign, Facebook has emphasized on making these changes all about groups. With this new design, users will now be able to see Groups recommendations at every corner of Facebook such as the Marketplace, Facebook Watch, and many others, which the user might want to join.

Users will also be given the ability to post any post directly from the group to their News Feed as well.

Facebook’s Dating Feature For Friendships:-

Facebook’s feature which is like a dating Feature but meant for Friendships is currently under testing. Once live, it will allow users to connect to the city they live as well as the groups they are already part of. With this feature, Facebook will help its users find people like them who are looking for offline friendships.

Speaking about all the dating and the IRL (In Real Life) connections, Facebook is going to make its Facebook Dating service live in 14 countries of Asia and South America. Anyone who will sue the Facebook Dating will be able to use the new “Secret Crush” feature.
