German Police seized “Wallstreet Market” the last of Dark web drug market -

Nowadays it is getting pretty hard for the administrators of the Dark Web markets that try to steal the cryptocurrencies of their users.

It has been barely a week since the German Police has finally seized one of the largest remaining illegal marketplaces for drugs on the dark web by the name ‘Wallstreet Market’. The site was one of the largest on the vein of Silk Road was seized by German police after it underwent a suspicious maintenance mode and authorities were able to track back to it and arrest its operators.

The authorities also stated to media that they have arrested three people alleged to be operators of the site as well as when they arrested them they were in the middle of an exit scam.

In simple words, the alleged accused in this case was not only charged for crimes of running an illegal sale of drugs and data theft but were also involved in stealing all the cryptocurrencies of their customers which were held in escrow.

As of May 3, the site when viewed via Tor presents a seizure notice put up by the German Police.

The seizure notice when translated into English explains the whole charges of the accused operators of the site as follows,

“As part of a search of the homes of the suspects were cash amounts of over €550,000, as well as for cryptocurrencies BITCOIN and MONERO in 6-digit amount, several high-quality motor vehicles and numerous other evidence, especially computers and data carriers, ensured.”

According to the press release by the German authorities, the servers were confiscated by them on May 2^nd.

Germany’s federal police also known as German Bundeskriminalamt were the in-charge of the takedown operations along with the local authorities following their suit.

The press release further released by the German authorities, translated into English states as follows,

“In the US, during the investigation by the Los Angeles Procuratorate, two of the highest volume suppliers of narcotics in the illegal online marketplace ‘WALL STREET MARKET ‘ were identified and arrested. While searching the homes of US suspects, a variety of illegal weapons and millions of dollars in cash can be found and secured in addition to drugs.”
