Snapchat announces soon a new gaming platform in April

If the reports from Snapchat are correct, then soon the users of this app. are going to be able to play games all the while taking the goofy snaps.

According to this latest report, Snapchat is soon to introduce a new platform by the codename “Project Cognac”. The platform will be announced at their partners’ summit which is to be held on April 4th in Los Angeles. According to these reports, the invitation of this event has also been featuring a unique slogan; “Less Talk, More Play”.

Although Snapchat has not publically acknowledged any report of such sorts, Snapchat enthusiast are sure happy to learn about this new project from their favorite app.

This new gaming platform by Snapchat is only the next logical step for Snapchat and all the users who have been following it for the last 1 year certainly agree with it. It has been nearly one year that Snapchat introduced their special AR Game feature by the name “Snappables” that allowed the users to not only play games but also take ridiculous selfies for themselves while doing so.

After the success of Snappables, the company has been working on a new one of a kind gaming platform since July of 2018 and the start of 2019. According to tech media, Snapchat has also heavily invested in the company named “Prettygreat” who are the masterminds behind the popular Android game “Fruit Ninja”.

All of this is also occurring based on the background investment of a Chinese firm named “Tencent” into Snapchat, who already told them that the games are the only new viable path for the company to generate revenue. Tencent is the firm behind the ownership of the Riot Games as well as many other US-based game development and publishing companies.

So all in all, this step of introducing a new gaming platform for Snapchat was inevitable.
