AT&T has announced the news that they will be launching their 5G network in December’s first half. people who can use the 5G service of AT&T are those who own a Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5 and they will be able to avail any of the 2 unlimited plans and are also fortunate to live in the5 of the first cities to receive the service from AT&T. as for the other ten cities, hey will be receiving the 5G service from AT&T next year. After the announcement, AT&T has also revealed the coverage amps for the 5G service and we have presented them at the end of this post.
Types of 5G services from AT&T:-
AT&T has made the claim that they currently have 2 different types of 5G services available but there is also a third one which happens to be the best.
- For those of you who have seen the symbol of 5G on their devices, it is only for LTE.
- You might have heard about the mmWave 5G which is currently called by AT&T as 5G+. mmWave 5G actually offers lightning fast internet speeds but has actually really limited coverage area. This service is made available by AT&T to the limited number of consumers such as the Business Customers in only limited areas of the 21 cities across the US.
- As for the maps we presented below, these coverage maps of 5G from AT&T are the rollout for the regular AT&T consumers and is a low band 5G service. This service will have the speeds which will be comparable to the LTE-Advanced which is far speedier when compared to regular 4G.
When will the regular 5G rollout for consumers happen?
For the first half of December 2019, the 5g of AT&T will be launched in 5 different cities which are Pittsburgh, Providence, San Diego, Rochester, and Indianapolis.
By the time in February 2020, the 5G AT&T service will be launched in 10 more different cities such as the following.

- San Francisco
- San Jose

For the cities that are not listed down below in the coverage amps, they will most likely get the AT&T 5G service by the first half of the year 2020.
