The company named Blackmagic Designs has unveiled its latest product a compact camera product for the purposes of cinematography. The name of this new product is the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K.
This new device looks quite similar to the 4K device the company launched last year. The device’s design is similar to that of a Minolta SLR launched back in 1993 but this one comes with a much bigger sensor.
The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K is able to shoot video in Super 35 format just like the APS-C while having the maximum resolution of 6144*3456.
Super 35:-
Forget about the resolution, this camera also has many other features like the switching to its Super 35 feature will allow the videographers to have improved low-light performance as well as the better control over the depth of field.
Lens:-
The lens used by the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K is of Canon EF lens mount instead of having its successor’s Micro Four Thirds.
In addition to this, Blackmagic has also claimed that the camera will have 13 stops for dynamic range that will come with dual native ISO of 400 and 25600.
Connectivity options:-
The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K will offer its users with a lot more connectivity options like the following.

- mic input
- headphone output
Screen:-
As for the screen of the camera, it will mostly operate from the 5-inch touchscreen that was added in the previous 4K model. The camera will be able to shoot video at following fps and their respective resolutions.
- 50 fps at 6144 x 3456 16:9
- 60 fps at 6144 x 2560 2.4:1
- 120 fps at 2.8K 2868 x 1512 17:9

The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K is available for purchase right now for a sum of 2495 dollars. For the videographers this camera is retro addition to their equipment that is almost twice as big as its predecessor model; 4K.
