Among the many countries that launched the smartwatches for kids, Sprint is the latest one and they have launched their Kids’ smartwatches with the feature of GPS Tracking. The name of the kids’ smartwatch launched by Sprint is WatchMeGo which has been designed for children ages in-between 4 to 12 years who might not be ready for having their own smartphones. The kids’ smartwatch does not only track the child’s location but it also sends as well as receives the text and voice messages to an app that is on the smartphone of kids’ parents.
Safety Zone & SOS features:-
With this new kid’s smartwatch, parents can now set up the alerts for notifying them if their child who is wearing the WatchMeGo device leaves their “Defined Safety Zone” such as their school or their neighborhood. The watch also offers the SOS button which is able to send the immediate alerts to the parents.
Price and other features:-
This WatchMeGo, which cost at the moment 144 dollars, requires the rate plan which comes at a price of 10 dollars per month and is currently available on all of the retail stores and website of Sprint. The kid’s smartwatch from Sprint comes with its Kidomi app that includes fun educational activities as well as games. The watchface of this new kid’s watch is Gorilla Glass, which has the 400mAh battery and the water-resistant case.
Rivals of Sprint:-
Other rivals of Sprint like T-Mobile and Verizon have also launched their version of the kid smartwatches or trackers with some same features. But what sets the Sprint Kid’s smartwatch apart from its rivals is that it is much cheaper as compared to others.
The GizmoWatch from Verizon is at about 179 dollars while the T-Mobile’s Timex Family Connect is sold for 192 dollars.
